So, I decided to participate over at tobreakthespell, and I picked a story that I figured was pretty easy to just pick up the characters and dump them into. Then when I got there, I realized I could not do Arthur/Morgana. Which is not to say I don't like Arthur/Morgana (the angstwhore in me loves every single pairing in Arthurian Legend, because holy fuck there's some pain there), I just realized that I can't do a straight-up boy-loves-girl love story. If it's cute and sweet in this fandom, it's got to be multi-shipping.

So there I was, deadline approaching, gaping problems with my plot, no idea how to work in OT4, keep everyone in character AND give it a fairy-tale ending.

The original due date was Jan 30th. It got pushed back to Feb 21 to encourage the participants to contribute to help_haiti.

I just figured out how to fix my plot this week. I haven't even started writing it yet (although I think that will be the easier part, given that I'm half way through my revised outline and it's already about 500 words for 1000 word goal).

In other DK is crazy news; I finally quit the bookstore. I was down to one night a week, but it was just too much on top of consulting for the boys and trying to grow the business for my boss. Of course I don't know what to do with myself if I have time to sleep, so I got the brilliant idea that Minekura fandom needed a Big Bang, and that I was just the insane person to head it up. Fortunately, the wonderful rroselavy agreed to help me out, so I think good things are going to happen with it.
